Counting Isla Mujeres Signs

Between wedding planning, folding stationery, and launching a major project the past couple of months, I forgot that I signed up for a half-marathon in just 10 weeks!

I decided to kickstart my half-marathon training today. On my way out the door, I texted my trainer Genaro for help. Here's the plan he recommended:


  • Heel to glute stretch
  • Knee to chest
  • Hamstring scoop stretches
  • Walk on heels
  • Walk on outside of feet
  • Leg swings
  • Butt kicks
  • High knees

Run: 30 mins easy interval run – run for a song, walk for a song, rinse and repeat until 30 mins have gone by!

Alas, I had already walked outside and forgot my headphones, and I couldn't find a good spot to do my drills. Instead, I decided to embrace good enough and just run for 30 minutes, counting Isla Mujeres signs along the way!
